Our compensation model is performance-based and designed to grow with your career. We offer a tiered commission structure that rewards skill, clientele, and professional development at every stage.

Obsidian is led by multi award-winning stylist Simon James, who regularly travels across North America presenting on stage, teaching at advanced academies in New York and Toronto, and coaching salons across the country.

The insights, inspiration, and education gained from these experiences are continually brought back to the salon to support the growth of the team.

This creates an environment where stylists stay inspired and connected to the wider industry.

This is for the stylist who still gets excited about great hair. Reliable, curious, and genuinely invested in the person in your chair.

We're looking for stylists with three or more years of experience behind the chair. Whether you're three years in or fifteen, if you have a portfolio you're proud of and the humility to know your best work is still ahead of you, we want to talk.

An existing clientele is an asset, not a requirement. 

Full-time and part-time positions available, because a great career should fit into your life, not the other way around.
